Pros: Great display when new.
Cons: Diffusion (pink/purple pixelation on light backgrounds) will kill the experience in about a year plus/minus six months.
Summary: I bought this TV in January of 2011 and was very pleased with it. About a year into life it started to develop small fields of pink/purple dots that I thought might be signal but it was degenerative. About 1.5 years into life I called Samsung and they sent a repair tech. Problem was "full screen diffusion" which wasn't repairable. Samsung gave me an "accommodation" as it was relatively new with a fatal defect though beyond warranty. They provided a new panel at no cost but I paid labor (about $400). Six months later diffusion returned with a vengeance and now Samsung says so sorry (though the authorized repair company I'm sure appreciates the $400 bone). I still have this TV but will be replacing it shortly. Not with a plasma and definitely not with a Samsung. Samsung PNs in this size manufactured 2010 and later have a high extended warranty claim rate for this issue so Samsung is aware despite Executive Customer Relations saying they are not. Bottom line this TV, though at the time a premium model, is junk and has cost Samsung a customer for life.
