Wow, I'm a step too late. I bought this TV a few days ago from Crutchfield (should be here today or tomorrow) because of CNET's great review of this TV. I failed to read the reviews down below. I hope my TV doesn't experience this "peeling" you all are talking about. This is an EXPENSIVE TV... and I'm paying a professional A/V company to install and calibrate. Hope it's not all for not.

I'm very sorry to hear that you had a terrible experience with one of these as well. Pretty much all of these sets will experience the screen peeling issue. I hope potential buyers are reading these reviews and comments. Avsforum is probably the best place to look if you want thorough documentation of just how prevalent the panel peeling problem is.
