  • "BEST TV EVER FOR THE PRICE!!"

Pros: Great Picture, Great Price, Great Size (59")

Cons: Slight buzz and the Smart part of the TV is not so great

Summary: THIS TV IS GREAT!!!!! I've had this TV now for about a month and it is Fantastic, and the word fantastic is not something I just toss around freely. The picture quality after calibration is amazing (I used the settings found on C-Net) and I say for the price I dare you to find a different TV with more options, features and the quality of picture this one has. Going from a LCD to a Plasma I had my reservations, but let me tell you they were all unfounded, this is an amazing TV and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The 3-D is really the only reason I upgraded from my 55" Samsung I purchased a few years ago so I'll start with it:
The 3D is very good, I've not seen any ghosting or crosstalk that was not part of the show/movie I was watching (poor quality = poor image) the only downside to Active over Passive is the darkening of the screen however the screen is full on HD and has a wonderful picture quality to native 3D movies and although Passive is bright and vibrant it can't match the quality you get from Active. 2D to 3D, ok on this I'm now blown away but I am impressed, its one heck of allot better than I thought it was going to be, as a matter of fact I find myself using it more then I assumed (two to three times a week for certain shows like Fringe) but it's just not a "deep" as I was wishing for.
The Smart TV part: Um, well, this is just kind of BLAH! It sure does have allot of stuff to offer but its slow, clunky, and just a big ol' mess of eye sore but it does work so that's good... Right?
The only two reason for the 4 Stars and not five was the slight buzz when the TV is on and the Smart TV not being as amazing as I had been wishing for. The buzz is not a deal killer, you can really only hear it if you are right in front of it with the sound off but it's still there. If the buzz is something that concerns you don't let it, its not that bad unless you watch TV with no sound.
