  • "Samsung has it this one out of the park"
    on by Dallas, TX

Pros Superb performance, great picture, improved features, stunning design. Love the bells and whistles.

Cons Remote is neat, but a little bulky.

Summary You can't go wrong with the TV that has everything you need to watch hour favorite movies. If you don't have it, then your not getting the best picture possible. This one is a no-brainer.

  • "2 months old and already have cracked screen (PDP)."
    on by TheFent

Pros Pic was nice when it worked.

Cons Faulty Plasma Display Panels (PDP's). Horrible customer service!!

Summary Save yourself the trouble - Samsung knows this is a problem and doing nothing about it! Buy another brand!!

  • "Personally, I love this TV."
    on by music4mic

Pros Decent size, sharp image and it's samsung!

    Cons A bit pricey.

Summary Overall this is a solid tv with a good picture for a decent price (if you know where to look.) Check out http://samsungtvdeals.net for coupons.

  • ""Brightness Pops" as well. Can't watch this TV in dark"
    on by duva80

Pros -Beautiful picture out of the box
-Performs surprisingly well in well lit rooms.
    -Great design.

Cons -BRIGHTNESS CONSTANTLY ADJUSTS AND FLUCTUATES
-NO GLASSES INCLUDED IN THE MODEL I PURCHASED
-SAMSUNG'S LATEST FIRMWARE DOES NOT ADDRESS THIS

Summary I researched this television before going ahead and purchasing and now regret buying it terribly. I was aware of the "brightness pops" issue, but after David K. revisited the issue and still awarded the D7000 as the editors' choice for best TV, I figured it couldn't be that bad. Boy was I wrong! The "pops occur mainly in a dark setting (supposedly the best environment for plasmas), and I am almost certain has something to do witht he eco sensor. The eco sensor is set to "off" but it still occurs, although not as much as it occurs when eco sensor is left "on". This is very frustrating ans Samsung has sent out a tech with an unreleased firmware (1025...on website they offer 1024.3). The new software did nothing, They offered to replace the main board, but since I am still within the 30 day eturn period that my reatiler offers, I think I am just going to send it back. I really would like to own this television if it were not for these issues. This is completely unacceptable for a flagship model that costs upwards of $3000. I cannot believe that a company like Samsung would not be racing to address an issue of this magnitude. It totally ruins the TV and David...if you spent $3000 on this set, you might agree. IT IS BAD!!!

  • "Very Nice!"
    on by calvmar

Pros Great picture, easy to set up and loaded with features.

Cons The remote takes some getting used to, the use of a high speed HDMI cable is a must and no 3D glasses included.

Summary I would buy this T.V. again.
