"Rebooting Power Down Problem - Google before buying."0.5 starson by tcopeland99
Pros: Good picture with lots of nice features when it was not rebooting. Samsung guaranteed they would fix it. They did try to fix it, but failed.
Cons: Reboots itself every few minutes. Samsung's recommended service companies will not return my calls even though Samsung itself guaranteed the repair by phone.
Summary: I believe this $2500 Samsung model PN60E8000 is unreliable due to engineering factory defect. It reboots itself every 2 to 10 minutes. It started rebooting occasionally within the first 12 months of use. After it started rebooting regularly, I finally called Samsung, but it was 14 months old, 2 months out of warranty. Samsung sent a repairman out and charged me $400. It failed right after the repairman left. The Samsung repairman will not return my calls. The second Samsung repair company doesn't return my calls either. After researching on Google, I found a lot of other users having the same problem. Even the new TV replacements are having the same problem. I believe this model definitely has an engineering factory defect. Bottom line, I not only give this product a very poor rating, I don't trust Samsung for not owning up to a factory defect. Google, Google, Google before buying.
