"AMAZING TV - 3RD Time LCD Buyer"
on by Own_two_samsung_tvsPros - Great price
- Great features & configs
- Amazingly smooth & crisp picture
- Has PIP!!!
- Sleek style
- Low Power
- No 3DCons - 3 HDMI inputs
- Component & RCA are shared on 1 input
- No VGASummary I almost gave it 4 stars due to lack of inputs, especially in the component & RCA category, there's 1 total. The picture quality and features made up for it tho: amazing. Throw in its PIP and configurability and its an easy 5, especially for the price.
Like many mid to high range Samsungs the picture quality and smoothness are amazing. Great options for configuring just about everything, including audio (which is par). crispness and smoothness are amazing (very little jitter); compared to low end Samsung models and older high end models.
The Smart apps and features are 'ok' (read other reviews), but obviously still not amazing...no TV is. A few more years before we may have anything like a built in Apple TV.
The official reviews are terrible for this TV, what're they looking at?? Customer reviews for manually tweaking video settings are spot on. The blacks ARE very black, even out of the box.
The speakers/audio are better than my last few LCDs, but lack as any LED does. I have it in a 550sq ft room and half volume is loud enough to hear any show or movie with lower background noise (dishwasher, washing machine, talking). If you have kids running around and yelling, you may wanna crank the volume or get a theater system.
I'm a 3rd time buyer of LCDs. 5th if you count a Sharp and Sony that I returned. I'd consider myself educated on features & quality as I stick with Samsung and Panasonic now. Vizio and Sharp are a good 'affordable' brands if you're short on cash.
ADVANCED DETAIL INFO:
Audio and video are sync'd perfectly for all sources that I've tried, especially if your video source is separate from your audio source to your theater system. The optical audio out is great and not tied to master volume. The audio out quality is great and is amplified properly, as it should be. Changing channels processes and changes quickly. You don't have to wait for the channel to display before you click up thru more. Power on time is standard Samsung (after 1st power up). Switching sources still cycles downward, which is a bit of a pain, but worth docking a star.
Samsung and Vizio always get these right.....and you'd think its a no-brainer...others seem to fail at this. -
"Great LED TV for the price."
on by SeriaAPros - Great price
- Great features
- Good picture
- Sleek lookCons - Factory picture settings are over saturated. Recommend Self or professional calibration.
- Speakers are not loud at all. Recommend surround sound hook up.Summary I have had this TV for over a month now. Im pretty happy with it. My Blu-rays look really good and gaming looks good to. I recommend calibrating the picture tho. Factory settings are a little too saturated. I Adjusted the picture myself after reserching a few websites. It took me about 15min. Picture color looks real now instead of over saturated.
OH...I forgot to mention. The smart tv features are really good. Netflix, Youtube and internet browser are all fast and everything is super easy to use. The Samsung apps are ok, not great.
