"5 Stars Compared To Any Size!" on by ChubbyD

Pros: Variety and number of connection possibilities. Picture quality is very good. Set-up is a breeze. The price is outstanding. In my opinion this is a good tv, Period! Not just in its size category, but in general. Sound quality is top notch as well.

    Cons: It's not a 50 inch tv!

Summary: I went to Walmart with the intention of buying a 32" tv today. When I got there and started comparing picture quality, I found that I really liked the quality of this set and I would save considerably by going with 26". I was really hoping that once I got the set home, I wouldn't be disappointed in the quality of the picture in a smaller environment. Well I wasn't disappointed! In fact, I did have a 32" in the same room and honestly, I really like this Sanyo better! And the 32" was a higher-end brand, so-called. I know it isn't the perfect tv for everyone or for every room. But for the room we are using it in, it is just right. Ten feet away and we can still read the text on the screen perfectly.
I wouldn't have a problem recommending this tv to anyone. In fact, I fully intend to tell both of my sisters about it tomorrow.
It is a wonderful television for those of us who are on a budget and don't want to have to sacrifice quality and features just because we can't afford the bigger, higher-end sets.
As we were unloading the tv from our truck tonight, my in-laws were sitting outside. They saw the Sanyo box and asked what we got. It turns out that they have the exact same set. They wouldn't trade it for another any day! They have theirs connected with a 75ohm cable and think it's the bee's knees. Mine is connected with an HDMI cable.
Another thing I am very happy with is the quality of the on-board sound. I have it connected to my home theater but, when I am just watching tv programs I use the tv speakers. The other HDTV I owned had very poor sound. Muffled.
The ability to adjust is incredible. So many options to choose from when setting sound, picture, etc.. Many presets and the option to adjust manually.
I guess my bottom line is this; I am not overburdened with an abundance of cash. I often have to sacrifice one thing or another whenever I choose a product. With a tv, if you spend cheap you get cheap. Thankfully that is not the case with this tv. No sacrifice at all.
If you are looking for a nice set and 26" is what you need or maybe all you can afford, Buy It! You will not be sorry!

"great bang for the buck" on by av8tor1

Pros: IMHO great price, very nice picture quality and more then adaquate audio

Cons: very basic remote and menu features

Summary: If you are hunting for a good looking but economically priced television then this model should do nicely. You are getting a bare bones version of a nice looking LCD television. Nice video, not bad audio and a great price (<400$).

"With proper HD air antenna or w/ HD cable set top. NICE" on by notorious662

Pros: I like the dual HDMI and HDCP slots. I got television for 200.00 minus remote, but the contrast ratio at 2000:1 is NICE for the price with sharp, not Samsung quality, but it does the trick for an extra tele. Lightweight and user friendly connections

Cons: This television doesn't have a compatible Universal remote for functions that the OEM remote offers. So, don't lose your original remote!

Summary: If you have a budget and a wife who shakes her finger at the high price television you bought on impulse, for the price and dual HDMI, as well as, the newer HDCP compatibility. The Sanyo DP26648 is a great buy that a family on a budget can evolve to the new LCD flat panel era without breaking the bank with 7 out of 10 viewing with use of upconvert DVD player(LG) and proper HDMI connections to HD Cable set top box. I have yet to plug a game console to the DP26648, but on LCD from use with my computer monitor of equal size(Samsung), I am sure it gives pretty good resolution. The DP26648 gives fairHopefully, if you give it a try, you should be satisfied, as long as, assembled with the proper connections.

"not happy with Sanyo TV" on by grammainfl

    Pros: liked size

Cons: I am disappointed to how it does last long enough to pay me to have it.

Summary: I am very disappointed in this product. I bought my Sanyo and had it about 5 minutes and it quit, returned to store and now after just a little after a year the second one lost its picture and nothing will restore it. Not a very good product if you ask me.

    "Fantastic." on by mmdelozier

Pros: Great Picture. Good sound . Very easy set up, trust me on this, I am challenged with electronics. The DVD is easy to operate and I can use the TV as monitor for my computer.

Cons: None that I have found

Summary: I grew up in a time when we had party lines and 3 channels. After my old TV,( it was 20 years old), lost its picture I went on-line and began to search. After an hour of that I went to Wal-Mart, as being on-line only added to my confusion because I do not understand all the numbers.
I found this Sanyo on sale( date stamped Sept 2010 on the back) as a floor model,it had already been "Rolled Back" and now it was 20% off that, I paid just over 300$ for the TV/DVD and a 2yr warranty. I think it is certainly worth the 35 dollars for a two year warranty ( which begins after the 1 year the manufacturer gives). Pretty good deal as I see it, especially now when people are paying more for a TV than I paid for my car.
