"Junk--short lifespan" on by physiguy
Pros: Fine while it works.
Cons: Broke down after 2.5 years and very light usage.
Summary: Please google this product and read reviews before purchasing. There is a major problem with this TV. Purchased mine 9/29/2008. TV began to click on and off. Then green power light began to blink. No picture. No sound. Customer service not helpful. SHARP will not acknowledge that this is a widespread problem. Consumers should be indignant that these major purchases have such a short lifespan.

"Excellent HDTV 37"" on by Yoho44
Pros: Have had this for 18 months and it has a fantastic picture even 480 digital is great.1080i is just awesome and we couldn't be more pleased! All HDTV is broadcast in 1080i.
Cons: None,Zero,ZIP,Nutta,Nuthing,Nothing to report on this subject!!
Summary: We are very pleased with our Aquos and glad we choose it after our trusty old JVC 27" tube retired to recycleville!!Everything works great and after adjusting the new set we determined that the manufacturers "run home to mama" settings out of the box were the best!!!After 18 months the set is still in that mode.We knew what we wanted, and did our homework, and didn't have any expectations as to comparing features that the maker clearly doesn't offer. When making a purchase we don't buy a item and then complain that it is shallow on certain functons after the fact.It is what it is!!!! If you are looking for a great 37"HD with a fantastic picture you should consider this flat boy.

"excellent value" on by mpw3rd
Pros: excellent image when fed good hd signal and decent sd performance. at a price of $750-delivered this unit can't be beat. currently $840, the image can be as sharp as a hi quality,hi def signal demands.
Cons: the channel change lag is tolerable, hdmi inputs function ok but sony is quicker, sound is not a strong point but fidelity is there, sony 37 inch is better but pay you must.
Summary: sharp has not put out a sucessor to this model except for the overpriced, gamer 37 inch "g" series model. probably there is no other (and better) 1080p computer monitor grade 37 inch lcd tv in it's price range from a major manufacturer out there. the sharp performs very well from its image to speed to color rendering and also decent black level after some backlight, brightness adjustments.
