Pros: Great picture and excellent sound quality from 15W speakers. According to the CNET review of the D85U model with the faster 120hz refresh rate, there was no discernible real-life difference in blurriness between the 65 and 85 models. Save your money!

Cons: Haven't had any problems so far, including the bugaboo of banding. Side angle viewing is excellent and the color tone etc is easily manipulated with an on-screen menu. What's not to like??

Summary: Buy this TV and the companion Sharp blu-ray player (BDHP21) when they go on sale and you can't go wrong. Excellent value for the money! Your DVDs will upconvert to almost blu-ray quality and the more expensive blu-rays will be crystal clear at closer range. The big issue with the blu-ray player is the lack of speedy firmware updates which may leave you twiddling your thumbs for a couple of months until Sharp puts out another "fixer" update online. I play mainly DVDs because of the cost difference so that doesn't bother me all that much. But it has peeved off a number of reviewers. Keep in mind that this firmware problem is universal so switching to another brand may not be the answer. All in all, this is a beauty of a TV especially if you can snag one for about a thousand bucks at Amazon.com or get the blu-ray player thrown in for free somewhere else. Ignore the so-so reviews of CNET. Once you sit down in front of that blazing 46 inch Sharp screen you will be thrilled -- especially with an HD source plugged in to feed it. And save some money: the 60hz refresh rate will be plenty good enough so you don't need to upgrade to the D85U model.
