"Fabulous 1st Big Screen TV-really enjoying 1st week!"
Pros: Styling - small bezel and clean looks
Performance - love the 120 hz on movies/action
White Balance control - for someone who like to fiddle this is great
Connectivity - 5 HDMI's! Not sure I will ever use them all!Cons: Picture contrast not as good as the Samsung 600 series, but I like the matt screen.
Summary: I have a 19 inch sharp which I really liked, and my purchase came down to 3 screens..
Remote control is a little old-fashioned, and I expect the small door at the bottom that "hides" the picture mode will not be there a year from now....
Sharp 46D85U, Sony 46W4100, and the Toshiba Regza 545u.
In the end, price drove my purchase, although in hindsight I might have preferred the Sony a little more since it has a slightly better contrast ratio... However, picked this up for about $1,500 with a little dealing at Future Shop (got the TV, Rogers PVR, a Sony Blu Ray, and 2 top high speed HDMI cables, and 3 BluRay movies with taxes etc for $2,500 including extended warranties on all (yes I know - these are usually a waste of money but in the end only cost about $160.....)
Blue Ray picture is fabulous, and now will move forward with HD channels.
In the end, most TV's will be great once you get them home and set up - its really hard to tell the differences for most of us!
