"Stunning picture, great sound"
Pros: If you want a mid range model with 120Hz you won't go wrong with this choice. Great image, great sound, easy navigation and instructions, easy setup
Cons: nothing so far
Summary: Not sure what the cnet reviewers were watching but it could not have been this screen. After much soul searching and reading all the users reviews here, we had originally settled on the Samsung 550 but lo and behold, once we purchased it and asked the store to open it to ensure we got the S panel as opposed to an A or a C, we discovered that all their stock was A... Ironically all the ones displayed in the store were S panels. We were not willing to take the chance and come home with an A panel so we went to our second choice, the Sharp 650. We love the image. It is fantastic and incredibly smooth and even though sound quality was not a primary consideration we find it quite good. Easy to set up too - took us all of 15 minutes from box to running a DVD and PS3 and both game and movie looked stunning. Very happy with our purchase and definitely worth the step up in price. No banding whatsoever (we were quite wary of that based on earlier Sharp models issues).
Also, image is crystal clear when off-angle (we have an L shaped set up and we see no image quality loss when viewed from a sharp angle).
