"Great value in a 60" TV"
on by Louis PoindexterPros Great picture, wireless internet, action sports look good with no jitter, low power consumption, true anti-glare screen
Cons Colors not as deep as my plasma, internet frequently loses connection, wiring not grouped for easy 'in-the-wall' concealment.
Summary I've owned this TV for 2 weeks so my review is written on a limited time span experience. However, I've used it extensively as my return window was one week from Sam's, as explained below.
I've been shopping several months for a 51" TV to replace an older 42" Panasonic plasma. I decided on another plasma since the new generation panels were so highly rated, going with either the Panasonic or Samsung. While browsing at Sam's, I noticed a returned Sharp LC-60LE633U marked down from $1400 to $930. The associate working in electronics said the previous owner returned it for a 70" Sharp. I decided to take a gamble and buy it, but Sam's policy on open items is you have one week to bring it back. So I put it through the paces in that week to be sure there were no problems with it, in case the previous had another reason for returning it. I was stunned at the results, the picture is incredible and no problems were found except the frequent disconnects from my internet.
As several other people have commented about this set, the picture is almost 'spooky' at times. The images are so life-like and deep it resembles 3D. It takes some getting used to, I guess some reviewers refer to this as looking like a 'soap opera'. But not all the content has this affect, most just look extremely detailed. Watching Planet Earth from a Blue-Ray player is incredible. My plasma does not approach the detail and clarity of this set. The initial default settings are a little bright, but you can tone it down. The set also adjusts the picture to the ambient light in your room, a huge plus and it works well. Another advantage is the screen is anti-glare. A lot of LCD manufacturers have gone back to more reflective screens, whether to increase their contrast ratio or definition I don't know, but this one does not reflect light like a lot of LCD-LED's I looked at.
Internet content is plentiful, my main uses are Pandora and Netflix. I initially used an ethernet cable to hook-up the TV but it would not stay connected. I was hesitant to try the wireless connection since I heard it doesn't work great for streaming movies, but I've watched several using it and it works flawlessly. I still have issues with frequent disconnects, I was hoping the Sharp updates would address this but so far it hasn't.
All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this set even at the $1400 price range. -
"Best set we ever had"
on by Count_zeroPros Brilliant color and lots of user settings. A good 1080p blu ray looks like 3D it is so sharp and crisp. Even old tv shows look better. Love it. From Costco-- extra year warranty
Cons Not thrilled with the feel of the remote. Anolder 40" Aquos remote works well with is--good consistency on Sharp's part. This new one not very ergonomic.
Summary Don't even think about taking thisTV away from me.

"Picture is amazing. Had me stay up the whole night"
on by jaemarcellePros Netflix, VUDU, Cinema Now, Block Buster all at the tip of your fingers. You can stream movies, music and pictures wireless straight to the TV from your Laptop. This TV is Great
Cons Only thing I can think about is when streaming movies or music; browsing through the pages is slightly slower than if I would browse on my gaming system. Certain video formats I've noticed didn't stream (MKV) but still can be fixed with an update

"All I can say is - WoW...!!!"
on by mythree3Pros Colors are superb and that is just out of the box with no adjustments, feels like we're in the cinema watching TV actually better than any cinema i have ever been in. Best way to describe this picture is "It's better than REAL LIFE". The set auto adjusts
Cons None I have found.
Summary "It's BETTER THAN REAL LIFE" - picture is so sharp and clear it's 3D like without the glasses...!!!

"Great TV at an awesome price! Beautiful picture... A+++"
on by lrw13Pros This TV has a crystal clear picture with nice vivid colors. The blacks are rich and deep while the brighter colors just pop. No blur issues could be detected and I could see any jittering in the picture when there is a lot of action on the screen. This TV
Cons So far nothing has jumped out at me yet. I know others have complained about the audio, but I listen to mine always through my audio receiver. I did however watch a movie with just the built-in TV speakers and I can honestly say they are not bad at all. Y
Summary What can I say, this TV rocks for the price. It has out performed my more expensive 55" TV in so many ways. Sharp has built a solid perform in my book. Anybody who buys this TV won't be disappointed with its performance and features and ease of use. I would recommend this TV to anybody wanting to stay under the $2000 mark and that wants a larger TV than the popular 55" you see everywhere in the stores.
