"GREAT TV!!!!!!!!"

5 stars  | on by sactownguy

Pros

Picture is almost perfect, easy to set-up and the price is great!!!!

Cons

I can't think of any

Summary

5 stars isn't enough, this TV is only $1200 and a certain store (something you do to chicken). $1200 are you kidding me, you absolutely can't beat the price for an LCD/LED TV. 52" is perfect, 50" TV is too small and a 55"-60" TV is ... Read full review

Sharp is VERY underated, Sharp can hang with LG,Sony and Samsung. I guarentee you will LOVE this TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Poor user interface, not in line with SHARP quality."

3 stars  | on by mbonard

Pros

Good picture quality, moderate price

Cons

The channel information fonts on the screen are minuscule and have no contrast- impossible to read from a standard viewing distance. There is no possibility to display any channel program information

Summary

We have noticed these two significant flaws in this unit: the fonts on the screen displaying the channel information (upper left corner) are minuscule and dark -no contrast- rendering them nearly impossible to read from a standard distance of 4 to 5 times the diagonal size of the screen. We have noticed these two significant flaws in this unit: the fonts on the screen displaying the channel information (upper left corner) are minuscule and dark -no contrast- rendering them nearly impossible to read from a standard distance of 4 to 5 times the diagonal size of the screen. Furthermore there is no access to any channel program information (which is commonly available in much less expensive units). When contacted, the Sharp customer care could not offer any help. I suggested to him that Sharp review my questions and in a next software upgrade, corrects these issues, which should not be found in a top of the line class TV set.

Sharp should have put more effort in their customer interface design. They need testers who are mature users and not young engineers with sharp eyes. I wish that Sharp were more open to product improvement suggestions from their customers.

I first purchased a LC-52LE810UN from another retailer then returned it as this tv was on sale for less. Even though there is a lack of reviews this is the LED TV for you. First of all Blu-Ray's are awesome looking whether it is animated or drama. Then regular HDTV looks great and so does standard def. The colors are brilliant and you really do notice the fourth color. The main difference between this TV and the 810UN is the 240HZ and the floating glass. This makes for a more true picture with deeper blacks and whiter whites. Some may like the Panasonic Plasma for the blacks but you would be missing out on the colors of this particular tv with blacks as deep as a Plasma. I reccomend to do the following after purchasing. Set to Dynamic and leave it, Turn off the OPC (Enoying when lighting changes in your house and the animated leaves come on the tv). Turn off Film Mode and set to 240HZ. Some people may say that they don't like the look of 120HZ or 240HZ but this looks amazing on this tv. Perfect example is the human torch on the Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer and when he flys bye no articating at all (Little squares) and you can see the blurry heat like image that was intended. If you buy this tv you will be one happy person if not then your loss. Bougt mine from the place the other reviewer purchased his from. Also I did not point out the included wifi adapter and all the apps.
