  • "Sharp does it again. The Yellow Sub-Pixel is NO gimmick"
    on by Dishguy1

Pros I understand why Sharp chose Yellow as the 4TH color. For all that consider it a gimmick, I suggest a little research into Colors and how / why the color yellow is percieved by the human brain. The audio better than any flat panel TV on the market.

Cons Not a single negative can I find with this TV and I am a former Sony employee.

Summary You can not go wrong with this product. Do not let someone steer you away from this. All one needs to do is simply consider all that it offers. I would suggest using a Blu Ray DVD as that will give you a better indication of what this TV is capable of. Sharp is using a special display in some stores to illustrate the features of the TV. Although the video is acceptable on this display, I would still insist on viewing it with a BluRay. Sharp offers virtually this same product with a 240HZ refresh rate, but I could not see a difference. The 120 HZ refresh does a great job of eliminating Motion Blur regardless of how fast the action on screen. This TV also has Vyper Drive for Video Gamers. This uses only the primary main video proccessor for reduced lag time.

  • "Great Look, Good Performance"

    Pros Look
    Sharpness
    Color

    Cons Glass Front shows Reflections

Summary I received this set in May 2011 after hitting certain goals set forth from my employer. I love it. It does seem to have some color balance issues, but I am not the best screen adjuster.
That said it has amazing color! (Contradictory, I know)
But seriously, the colors seem to pop at you. And it is bright! The outer bezel of the set could be thinner but it at least looks good overall. I tell people it kind of reminds me of a giant iPad.
After using it for a year I was disappointed that the glowing lights on the bottom of the set (Sharp, Sharp Emblem, Control Panel) seemed to be getting really dim. I find this weird since they are suppose to be just some white LEDs but who knows. Maybe SHARP went cheap on them.
I also am not the biggest fan of the touch control panel, preferring physical buttons, but it makes for a neat appearance. The quality of the design is excellent with Glass everything. Does give the set a little bit of weight but not too much.
All said I love this unit. I would recommend to anyone on the fence about it. I definitely would have bought it May 2010-May2011 for asking price. Today I would only spend up to $800 on it as there are better sets for the money now.

  • "Beautiful design, picture but clumsy settings iu."
    on by gilgomez

Pros Sleek design, clean & very attractive with a solid build, swivel base. Quick set up & fast network connection with automatic firmware updates via web. Easy instant access to Netflix with smooth interface. Supports HDMI 1.4.

Cons Clumsy and limited widgets set up and access.
    No Hulu, Vudu, Pandora.
Facebook and YouTube access is very limited and needs work.
    Not DLNA certified.

Summary Beautiful display and unit design with a few tweaks necessary from Sharp to expand Aquos Net partners.
The Aquos Net set up has a fantastic Netflix connection that is instant and painless.
This unit is definitely worth considering in the 40" display 120refresh category. Colors are bright, blacks are deep and it has numerous user adjustments available.
Instant Sharp support via the built in network/internet connection to assist in calibration and best picture set up.

  • "GORGEOUS Picture!"
    on by JJ3810

Pros Crystal clear colors. Variety of adjustments to get the picture you want. Excellent sound.

Cons Needs a LOT of calibration out of the box to bring the flesh tones in correctly.

Summary This set has an oustanding picture with vibtant colors and clear resolution. Plenty of inputs, too. Glad to see Sharp has put so much effort into upgrading their LCD offerings.

  • "This is AWSOME LED LCD T.V. I have ever owned"
    on by tanukitanuki

Pros EVERYTHING IS PROS. ADDING A 4TH COLOR, A YELLOW, MAKES COMPLETE DIFFERENT FROM OLD RGB'S ESPECIALLY FOR LED. PICTURE LOOKS ALIVE..

Cons THERE IS NO CONS. IF ANYONE HAS ISSUES WITH PICTURE QUALITY, I WOULD SUGGEST TO CHECK YOUR EYES WITH YOUR DOCTOR. !!

Summary THIS IS A FAR BETTER T.V. THEN THE SONY, SAMSUNG AND OTHER LED T.V. OUT IN THE MARKET. SMOOTH TRANSITION OF 120HZ ON LED, IT IS BEYOND EXPECTABLE.
