  • "This TV is a great value!"
    on by ssamick

Pros This TV is a great value. It can easily hang with all the other led TV's on the market. It has a brilliant picture with the proper settings. This TV is easily 400 dollars cheaper than some of the other manufacturers with the same features.

Cons There is some blue in certain dark scenes, but I've read that Sharp is working on a firmware fix for this problem.

  • "After three this was the one I kept."
    on by socom18d

Pros Picture, tried Samsung led, Panasonic plasma ended up with the Sharp. The picture is clear, colors vibrant and no motion blur with 120mhz compared to the Samsung that was quite a bit more expensive. I have a media room that is quite dark with no glare and

Cons Remote is an afterthought, the Samsung unit was two sided with a Qwerty keyboard! The Panasonic was the best with back-lighting and large buttons. The Sharp unit looks cheap and is not user-friendly, the glossy portion at the top was smudged immediately a

Summary Used CNET for years and wanted to share buying experience, TV's never look the same at home and manufacturers make too many models to reasonably pick one that is best for your environment the first time. There are few sets in this price range that are this good over all, best of luck....

  • "Great picture, great looking TV"
    on by cformont

    Pros - Sleek looking
    - Great picture with many tweaks and settings to your liking
    - Price was reasonable compared to other similar models
    - Setup was a breeze

Cons - Not enough apps. Need more.
    - 3D conversion from 2D is a joke.

Summary When I first set this TV up I turned it on and immediately noticed a jittery jump in the picture. Wasn't too bad but I could not figure out what was going on. I tried moving some electronics away from the screen and this might have helped because it stopped. Used the TV for a couple days and then when I turned it on in the morning I noticed it again. Turned off the TV and turned on again and it was gone. Weird.
The picture is great on this thing after changing some settings for the picture. Let me say that this 3D thing is a joke. I'm not saying this tv doesn't do good 3D but the 2D to 3D conversion is useless. Tried to get 3D from cable company and they only have ESPN 3D for an extra 10 dollars a month. No thanks. Ok, let me try Best buy for a 3D movie. $35 bucks?? Screw that. I really should have done more checking for 3D content cause it's scarce. I wouldn't have gotten the 3D feature if i did some more research. Oh well, I have it and maybe it will be more available in the future, idk.

There is also a sparkle or flashlight effect that is barely noticeable on some dark scenes but I don't see it on Blu Ray which is absolutely flawless in picture quality. So you really have to measure the picture quality when watching a blu ray because i thing some cable broadcasts are all different in HD quality.
I would buy this TV again i think only without the 3D features. It's really a waste right now. Just my opinion. If anyone knows where u can rent or buy inexpensive 3D content please respond.

  • "I love this tv, I got it on sale, & worth every penny!!"
    on by mcheewah

Pros Took it out of the box, pluged in the HDMI cords and that's when the magic happened! A perfect picture, just needed a little tweeking on the color but that was it.

Cons The remote control should do a little more like have a back light to it & more functions with other electronics ..ie like the cable box not just turn off an on as well as the entertainment center..... Also the speakers are ok, but what would you expec

Summary I would recommend this tv to everyone !!!!!!
