"What about the Mitsubishi 73, 82, and 92 inch?"4.0 starson by hoddy44
Pros: Size. Quality.
Cons: Price. Size.
Summary: I'm sure that this is a nice TV, but what about the big Mitsubishis that are larger, cheaper, and offer 3D. I own an 82 inch Mits and the HDTV picture is unbelievable. The whole TV experience is changed by the size and quality of the picture. The Mits also do an excellent job with 3D. Watch the MLB Home Run Derby from Directv on an 82 inch Mits and you'll see what I mean. CNET is doing its readers a disservice by not at least making its readers better aware of the large tv alternatives. In my opinion, the picture quality of the DLPs are every bit the equal of the more popular LCD/LEDs and plasmas. I have both and I prefer the DLP especially for conditions with ambient light. Most people who criticize the picture quality have not seen these current DLP sets in a home environment. The disadvantages of DLPs are viewing angles and bulb replacement. If you understand these issues and do not have to hang on a wall, then DLPs are a viable option..
