"Coolest TV in the Market Today!!!"4.0 starson by adlieb
Pros: BIG SCREEN!! Good Picture. Handles bright rooms very well. Built in Wi-Fi. Super efficient compared to other products.
Cons: Too many useless apps in the Vudu Apps suite. Um that's about it.
Summary: Have had 732 and 734 on the showroom floor since their ship dates, and it's tough to keep them in stock. Bottom line it's 70" for $3K, and there's really nothing more to talk about.
Built-In Wifi and the latest Netflix program application (same one from the PS3) make networking on this puppy super easy. Plus add the favorites and "dock" buttons to the remote and you have VERY easy access to your internet functions.
I find that this is a great TV to replace an older rear projection LCD/DLP/LCOS since those tended to have wider exterior bezels, it makes the 70" almost feel like there's "nothing there". Mount this TV on the wall where you used to have the old Rear Projection on a deep stand, and you've just gotten back your whole living room without the massive eyesore of the old Rear-Projection.
I have setup many of these sets, and played with our store demos extensively, and its hard to find fault with them. Are there better pictures out there? Yes, but for much more money, especially when you factor in the SIZE ($3500 for a 55" Sony xbr, or $3000 for a 70" Sharp Quattron. hmmmm...) the Sharp is just a fantastic TV. Also, the sound really isn't half bad for a slim LED based LCD, heck its a LOT better than the "rear firing" samsung LED TVs.
After wathing tons of different content on the both the 732 and 734, I have found that the motion issues that some people have spoken about go away completely when you turn the advanced image processing OFF. The TV will lose the "camcorder" look that some have commented on.
If you have the space and the wall for the TV, mount it up, sit back, and enjoy.
