"A wonderful mix of features and quality"4.5 starson by Pantomorphic_Pixels
Pros: Picture: Stunning clarity, contrast and brightness
Picture Control: Tweak nearly any setting from the standard and advanced picture settings. A staggering amount of control for the tech nuts or a great picture out of the box with the presets for the less
Cons: Sadly, no company has made a technology to know what YOU like compared to another buyer, so setup will take some of the more picky users additional adjustment for motion and pixel settings. Many of these users (myself included) were gonna take the time an
Summary: A wonderful mix of features and quality in a compact package perfect for bedrooms and smaller living rooms. Im very happy with my purchase for the wonderful picture quality & contrast, clean looking thin bezel and deep features if I want to tweak the picture to my liking.I apologize that some of my review above was cutoff.
On all the sources I have tested (FiOS HD Cable, Blu-ray, XBOX360, Windows 7 PC & Mac) the quality of the picture is bright, with high contrast with minimal artifacts (except where present because of the source material or cable service) and like many good LED tv's is truly a standout with Blu-ray. When testing with great source material like Tron: Legacy and Dispicable Me this tv really shines showing off tremendous detail, clarity and depth. Make no mistake, there are better pictures out there, but you may have to go upwards of 1200 dollars to get it. If you are looking for display accuracy, you may want to look at those TVs in the elite price range, but if you want a 2D TV with stunning picture and detail for you and your family in a 40" package you can't go wrong with this set.
* Many stores are now selling this model well below its list price making it a great value compared to other manufactures models at the same price.
* Some buyers may want to turn off the bright "upside down V" used for the power indicator in the settings menu if this bothers you. But its nice that they let you do this.
