"Why so many dead pixels? (32" G version)" on
Pros: Nice looking, small footprint, clear picture, I like the breakaway AVS Box to keep all the cables in one area. Haven't seen a HD picture yet, as cable hasn't been installed yet.
Cons: I have purchased two of these so far... in the course of 24 hours. Both had a half dozen dead pixels spread around. VERY annoying. I can't exchange again (all stores sold out) so I have to hold onto this lemon until they come in again and I can trade for

"good product but the new one is better" on
Pros: nice picture, better blacks than most lcd's. I just got the G series 32 inch model and its great. HD looks great, and so does pc output. SD cable suffers on this set but dvd and HD make this set tough to pass on for a bedroom. My only question is why a on
Cons: Price, screen size, and this unit lacks the hdmi input that the new g series has. The 6u also does not have dvi-i which lets you use the dvi for pc output which is far better than an analog output. The dvi can also be used with dvi capable dvd players.

"After 3 years" on by illinoiz
Pros: Picture quality
Cons: If your media box goes, WATCH OUT!!!
Summary: Typically, reviews come after the product is only a few weeks/months old. This review is WARNING you what this product is after 3 YEARS! I purchased this unit in 2004 for over $2100.00. After 3 years of relatively moderate use, my screen/picture began to go bad. I took it into an authorized Sharp dealer, who promptly let me know that to repair this unit, it would be $1400.00. Well, as you can see, this amount to fix it is MUCH more than to replace it. My warning to you: STAY AWAY from Sharp AQUOS LCD TV's. Mine was a TV with a seperate Media Box. My LCD screen was fine, the box was useless. Upon calling Sharp, they "offered" me a replacement media box for $800.00. I STILL can buy another new TV for this amount. Mine is a 30 inch model. Well, a "Stroke of Luck" seemed to happen for me, (and not for another person), but another person had his 37 inch LCD Aquos in for repair at the same time as mine. He also had a media box. Guess what? His LCD screen was useless, and his media box was fine. His repair bill was to be in the $6000 dollar range. He flipped out as well. He can buy 3 TV's for that now!!! Anyway, a sad story for him, as he is out much more than me, but he sold me his media box (MUCH LESS) than what Sharp would, and now Im back in business....we shall see...The moral of this story, after attempting to see what Sharp "might" do for me, they were unresponsive, non-apologetic, and not concerned with my problem of owning a $2100 TV just three years, before it would end up in the junk yard. Nice customer service Sharp. Nice product Sharp. Im back to Sony where I know the product will last longer than 3 years of very moderate use!!!! Never again, I dont care HOW good your picture is!!

"Great style & perfect right out of the box" on
Pros: Priced very competitively. Fine looking. Beautiful picture right out of the box. The AVC box makes set up easier and more versatile....great idea.
Cons: Sound, while not bad compared to others with attached speakers, isn't "surround soud" quality.

"Excellent picture, great as TV and PC monitor." on
Pros: 2 tuners, avc hookup
Cons: The manual is a bit vague when in relation to options for hooking up cable and components- could of been written clearer.
