Summary Have had this for about a week now, replaced a 50" Samsung plasma TV. I was tempted to buy a Panasonic 65" plasma that was next to this in the store, but in bright lighting it was really dim, as CNET found in their review of that Panasonic. My viewing area is usually bright so that played heavily into my decision as I would have loved to stay with a plasma. So far, I really like the Sharp. When swapping them out, I was laughing so hard at how much the 70" dwarfs the 50". The number of apps, particularly Netflix, was a big plus. As was the digital audio out so I can output the sound to my receiver. The built-in sound leaves a lot to be desires, but that is typical with most modern flat panel TVs. I did not deduct anything for the audio though because of the digital audio out and I would say most people shopping for a set in this range have a home theater set up and don't use the built-in speakers. At first I missed my Samsung but after a week and tweaking it a bit, I am very pleased with this picture. Plus at 70", it truly makes it feel like a home theater.
