Pros: It's big....and really, really expensive.

Cons: It has a crappy picture...which means it's NOT worth the money! 3 out of 5 stars when you admit is has a crappy picture....it's a TV, if the picture is crappy it should receive 1 out of 5....explains why most people only come here for the pictures!

Summary: CNET, your reviews are useless, and here's my proof. This is what you wrote on your front page, "If you're looking to wow your friends or fill a wall, then the 80-inch Sharp LC-80LE632U is one of the best TVs you can buy", but then followed it immediately with, "but ho-hum picture quality makes it a questionable value." Really? So basically, ho-hum picture quality, which is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A TV, makes it "one of the best TV's you can buy." Do you guys even realize how dumb most of your reviews have become? You need to expand your ratings from 5 to 10 stars, realize most people do not want and can not afford a TV over 1K, and stop kissing the industry's butt and tell the truth about the products you review.

It is apparent that you don't own this TV or have any significant experience with it. I agree that CNET didn't do a good review, but this is supposed to be user reviews of the TV and not reviews of the review. If you check other sites such as AVSForum and Amazon, this TV consistently gets great reviews. I do own this TV and can attest that it has a fabulous picture when it is properly calibrated. You are not likely to see it properly calibrated in a store becuase Sharp doesn't have their act together like Panasonic does in ensuring that their TVs get calibrated in high end stores. And I know many people that buy TVs this expensive.

The statement makes sense, if you interpret it loosly. However, it could have been worded differently. What Ty meant was, if you simply want a huge screen, this is the TV for you, but from a picture quality standpoint, it is not good. What part did you not understand? Read between the lines.

I agree that a review should be as honest as possible, but I do not agree that most people dont want to know about TV's over 1K. Many home theatre enthusiast pay several times that much and we like to know what we are spending our money on.
