"Very Nice Set"
Pros: Light weight, East setup, 3 HDMI inputs
Cons: Panel Edges reflect Sunlight
Summary: This was a replacement for an 37" Plasma that died. The older one reflected sunlight and was like a mirror, so we had to shut shades. This new one has a non reflective screen, however the frame around the set is black plastic and reflects whatever is behind you. We wish it would of had a flat black edge. CNET said it does not have a TV guide built in, however this one does for some reason. It also has the jacks for Sony's new box available soon. We hooked up a DVD player and everything came out pink. After checking and changing cables, we called Sony support, and they said to reset the TV. We did and everything came out perfect. Their is some blurring during fast moving scenes, and when watching regular or HD tv, you get several different size boxes, depending on what is being broadcast. We had the Direct TV box on 1080 and lost some of the broadcast picture, so changed it back to 720 and it worked good and the resolution was better. Their is minimal loss of picture brightness from the sides, but we have a platform who's top turns, so we just turn it. Our original intention was to watch TV without reflection, and the screen works fine, however now must deal with the reflective screen edge. We also have a smaller 26" Sony in the next room, and have noticed that using the remote on one sometimes does the same thing on this new on.
All in all, a fine TV so far for the price. The older Plasma cost 5K, and this one was only $1400.
