Pros Motion. Lots of inputs.
Cons No Internet tools or DLNA. Controller (Good, but a bit simplistic)
Summary Love the picture on this television. For Under a grand, great TV.
Pros Incredible picture quality! Was very surprised at the picture quality on this TV! I paid half the price of what I did for another Sony TV I own and the picture on it is just incredible! The sound quality is also very good since they point downward.
Cons None yet. I am very scared at this point of Sony TV's. Ive been a very loyal Sony consumer for years, and I am having problems now with their black sheep KDL46V5100. I dont know the outcome of this other TV yet but we will see.
Summary I bought this TV thru Dell. They had an amazing price on it and FREE shipping so I couldnt resist getting it. I have been a life long consumer of Sony products, and I already had one Sony LCD TV that I "was" in love with so I jumped at the chance to get this one. It was half the price I paid for a KDL46V5100 so I didnt expect a lot from it but I am shocked at the picture quality and over all quality of this TV. Could it be true what Ive always thought? Maybe Sony really is the best there is. Hmmmm. The sound quality was also very surprising for a flat panel TV. The speakers point downward so I thought oh God what is this mess going to sound like. Surprisingly it does sound very good. There is a built in equalizer so you can fine tune the sound. I always use the full pixel mode on my TV's and when its set on this the picture is absolutely stunning. I have Time Warner cable with HD and its a good match up. When I purchased this TV I did not buy the extended warranty. I started having issues with my other Sony HDTV KDL46V5100 that I did a review for on this website, started doing some research on the internet and found that people in droves are having a lot of issues with Sony TV's and if you dont have a warranty then they turn their backs on you. So as soon as I started having issues with the other TV I immediately called Dell and asked about getting an extended warranty. They were able to get me one for $130 for 3 more years so I jumped on it. If you buy a Sony TV or any one of these new LCD TV's please try to get some kind of deal on an extended warranty. Thats my recommendation. They dont cost a lot for the piece of mind they can give you if something goes wrong. So far everything has really been great with this TV but I'm really nervous about it at this point. If my other Sony TV is not able to be fixed (I'm told the motherboard or circuitboard might be defective) I think next time I buy a TV I will go with LG or Samsung. I never though a Sony TV would be gone out at 14 months of use. We will see how long this one lasts. Buy that extended warranty!!!
Pros This is my second Bravia LCD TV and I enjoy the interactive easy to adjust menus. Good picture quality. Supports PC input via HDMI. Seamless integration with Sony components via Bravia Sync. Auto pwr off when not in use or no signal is detected.
Cons Integrated speakers lack depth (as with most LCD/LED TVs).
Summary This is a great TV for <$800. I've been using this television for about two months along with the HT-CT100 Bravia Sound Bar. The television presents a good quality picture with HD inputs (XBOX 360, Acer Aspire Revo HD) and the sound from the external sound bar is great for small rooms.
