"Very Good Deal"
4.0 starson by wperniPros: Excellent picture quality and color
Cons: Not a 1080p but who cares
Summary: This is a 720p HDTV which, at about 65 lbs., almost anyone can have up and working within 5 minutes. My old set was a 32" Sony old fashioned tube TV which I loved but weighed a ton. The first thing I liked was the vivid bright color and numerous inputs including 2 HDMIs, S video, component video, one for a computer, and others! In the store the salesman tried to sell me a 1080p (much more money) which he tried to convince me had a better picture. I could not however tell the difference. This is because there are no 1080p broadcasts or cable boxes, so if effect there is no difference, yet. Not sure if 1080p will even show up that much at 46" when these broadcasts come out. 46" size is perfect and does not offend my big family room. At about $1,500 to $1,700 it is a great entry level HD set which will easily be usable elsewhere if you want to upgrade later. In other words it is not a dinosaur which you will have to throw out or "convince" someone to take. Right now I cannot even get the Salvation Army to take the old one. Everyone is happy in my house and I saved a bundle. Gotta give Sony credit, nobody does TV better.
