"Incredible value XBR engine without Xtra cost"
Pros: Great picture, bottom speakers allow for norrower installation space, stand is included in price, Easy set up
Cons: Speakers are a little weak, but I'll be using my home theater
Summary: This is an amazing value. Bravia XBR without extra width of glass bezel, and minus a few bells and whistles, but I only had to pay $2,650 through Amazon including shipping, uncrating, and setting on cabinet by delivery people. Due to the holiday rush, I now have to wait 2 weeks for DirectTV to come out with my HD equipment
. My wife really got me a great Chritmas present.

After reading great comments here, I decided to look for this model instead of the 46XBR-2. But other than Amazon.com (a 6 week wait) and Costco's version at $3150, it just isn't for sale anywhere. Because of competition, the XBR-2 sells for less than this model ($3400 minus $400 rebates)!!
It doesn't seem right to pay MORE for this than for the XBR-2, does it?
