  • "Bravia 3 is the WTG"
    on by Samphraim

Pros + Very Good black level
+ Probably the best image processing available in the market
+ Very less reflection on the screen
    + Good off angle viewing
    + Simple/Easy remote
+ The menu is stylish & very similar to PS3's
+ Variety of internet video option

    Cons - Simple design
    - No option to pan/tilt the screen
    - Not the best of sounds, if you have a AV receiver, then you should be good
    - Expensive :(
    - Not very impressed with SD rendering
    - The USB is very slow (is that 2.0?)

Summary (Anti-aliasing, sharpness, noise reduction - performances are so good when compared to all its competitors. You can compare the quality to XBR9 and you wouldn't feel any difference)

(Try the 'Cinema' setting while watching Blu-ray movies)

  • "Best line from Sony in 2009?"
    on by Jfriedman_21

Pros It really has the best of what Sony has to offer for the price tag. Yahoo TV widgets, 120Hz motion Flo, Bravia 3 engine, 100k dynamic contrast ratio..I also love the picture frame style around the TV with the SONY logo illuminated, very slick!

Cons I don't like that it's not wifi enabled. I don't have my router anywhere near my TV so I have to buy a wireless bridge to access Yahoo TV Widgets. Blacks look a little light at times but I don't know if that is normal for the programming

Summary Overall this is a great TV, I still don't think i like it as much as some of the higher end Samsung models but has more features than S & V series. I actually wanted to move away from Sony after my debacle with the SXRD technology televisions but they threw me a pretty sweet deal on this one and I decided to stay with them. I guess time will tell if Sony has made the same mistakes twice....but for now I am very happy :)

Yes you CAN run a a Ethernet cable to the TV. I just just don't want to, because my router is in a awkward place in a back room. But as Chilly Willy was saying you do not want to extend it too long. Bye the way I'm still loving this TV. And thank you CNET for finally reviewing it. When I get home I'm gonna see how your settings compared to mine.

  • "good for the amount i paid"
    on by vinodadi

    Pros online streaming, good design.

Cons no wireless support other than that everything is good

  • "Awesome TV!!!"
    on by arunprasadrm

Pros * Good connectivity. Ethernet or USB or HDMI or PC
    * Very good picture and sound quality; no reflection issues - have to say that there are 4 windows across this TV
    * Love to stream movies, music videos from Youtube, Netflix
    * Scene selection is good

Cons 1. Entering keys from remote is frustrating. May be a wireless or wired keyboard might perfectly fix this issue.
    2. No wireless support.
    3. No browser support.

Summary I bought this TV for <$1000 from Amazon with free shipping and with free installation. Enabled network, did a f/w update and started watching movie, music videos from Youtube and the items on my playlists. I love this TV.
