Pros: I have a 40" XBR3 and the 52" with the smaller bezel doesn't take up much more space. The picture quality is amazing, even on non-HD channels and the DVD quality is excellent. The best black yet! There is much less lag time on start-up.
Cons: The remote is definitely not intuitive, and it would have been nice if it worked better with the Directv box.
Summary: I am sure there are products out there that approximate the quality of this product for less money, but I don't have the time or expertise to scout them out. In the grand scheme of things, the difference in cost, spread out over the years of usability, would be minimal. You really can't go wrong with this TV.

When you defined the cons about the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR6, you stated that it would be nice if it worked better with the Directv box. I am looking for a very good tv to connect it to my tivo Directv box. Would it work???
