Pros The Tv is Astonishingly Great apart from it's 3d performance it's 2d performance is far better with xreality engine better than that of samsung and Lg which are totally fcuking loads of Shi*ts so come with bundle of free promotional items and have variabl

Cons Somehow it's usb capabilities are not fully satisfactory like it does
nt supports any hard disks of 1TB

  • "if right price, this can be an AMAZING TV."

Pros dynamic edge dimming - better then most other edge or rear lit lcd tv's
    internet video
    extremely clear picture

Cons i still have now idea how to make major adjustments on the tv
    doesnt have dynamic local dimming
    external 3d emitter
    remote not back lit

Summary side note: i moved to this from a phillips 42inch lcd (2005). so this was a major upgrade from a 1st generation lcd.

the tv has better quality then 95% of the tv's you will walk by at your local best buy or frys. the 3d looks great, though i havent watched 3d on any other tv. i know some people like to be able to adjust the emitter, but i would like the cleaner look of it built in.

the dynamic edge lit means if there is nothing on the left side of the screen and only something on the right (lets say a small white box, or logo), then the left side of the screen turns off, for deep blacks. its cool, but kinda weird cause you can tell half the tv is pure black and the other half doesnt have as deep of black (slightly lite). if it had local dimming (like the hx929) it would black out all around the "white box, or logo". might be a little better then just half the screen going black. but i know even those dont go completely black exactly around the white image.

i also like that i can run hdmi from my ps3/directv to my TV, then run 1 optical from the TV to my receiver, and the tv passes Dolby digital 5.1.

i purchased this back in febuary for $1499.00, shipped, new and unopened. so i really cant complain, just nit pick.

  • "Great tv set, magnificent resolution"

Pros Excellent picture image, displays 3D materials very neatly!

    Cons None so far.

  • "Amazing TV, right up there with the best available"
    on by Jimmybock16

    Pros Picture Quality
    Picture Quality
    Ease of rotating the screen

    Cons None so far

Summary I almost missed out on getting this TV because I waited so long doing research. I got the last model available in the 4 closest Best Buys (Costco ran out completely). Walking around the store, the only model under $3,000 that was on par was the Samsung C8000. I got this model for $500 less than the Samsung.

I finally pulled the trigger the night before the Super Bowl and man, the picture on this thing is so incredible that movies start to look fake. You start to think you're watching actors through a window. The set is so good that you'll be able to tell movie channels apart from lower HD quality broadcasts, something I could never distinguish before.

I'm not a fan of wall mounting so mine is on a corner unit. I am impressed by how easy Sony made it to shift the screen left to right without having to move the stand itself. Maybe I'm just behind the times with these TV's, but it's nice.

I wasn't even interested in the 3D package for this TV, but after seeing it without it I'm curious to see how the TV would handle it. If you can still find one, get it.

  • "Beautiful Picture"
    on by glorym

Pros Special events, HD programs, etc. look fabulous on this tv.

Cons None. Have had tv almost 4 months.

Summary Could get rid of all the HD cords (5) and just use (1) hdmi cord. Beautiful, clear, picture.
