Pros: Colors are the best I have ever seen. MotionFlow 120 is a must-have. Wi-Fi ability has amazing potential.

Cons: Just one HDMI input on the rear jackpack! Insane judgement. Remote is too basic and should be backlit or glow. Pricey set but worth it as a much better choice than the Samsungs I compared this to.

Summary: I really did my homework. This project took a few months. I actually brought home some open box 7000 series Samsungs to see if CNET's favorable reviews would live up to the Samsungs. LCD vs. LED. I also brought in a Sony 55-inch to compare (V) but nothing came close to the Sony KDL-65W5100.

I simply don't understand Sony's decision to place just a single HDMI port into the rear panel of inputs and then add three more to the side (exposed wires now). Sub-standard judgement.

I tested Blu-Ray films I know well and concert DVD's in standard format as well on a Denon DVD player. The colors jumped at anything I tossed at it. Quick and fast moving scenes just had zero pauses.

Bright sun on the screen at any angle was never an issue.

I know this is a pricey set but despite its cost factor, invest the extra money for something that will provide endless quality for years to come.
