Pros Best picture, sleek design, great connected services.
Cons None... couldn't be happier.
Pros When I was comparing the TVs in the store the 55HX929 had darker darks, greater contrast and a richer feel to it than anything that I could see throughout the store. The clarity and crispness seemed unmatched even against competitive plasma TVs that were
Cons When the presence sensor was on it was shutting the screen off while we were in the room watching it. Our couch is 5 meters from the TV which is wIthin the 6 meter specified distance for the feature to function properly. I've adjusted the sensitivity se
Summary Great TV, fantastic picture, contrast, color and 3D experience is top notch. We were not outside of he specifications for the presences detector yet the set would continuously shut the screen off until we disabled the feature. The wireless connectivity feature is fantastic and easy to set up. There was a soft wear update when the set connected to the network. It did not identify what it fixed but the only thing I think I noticed a difference in was that the 3d seemed to run smoother. That is just a SWAG and I have noting to base that on, but the 3d is amazing and takes TV to another dimension. I didn't expect this level of clarity at all when I bought the TV and luckily I found the 3d channels on direct TV (103-106) and I have more 3d content then I ever imagined. Now I can finally use that ESPN3D in my package that I've been paying for but could never use until now.

Pros Inky blacks

Cons Dark crease on left, right and top of screen
Summary Let me qualify my review by stating that if I didn't have these weird creases on the edges of my screen I would be giving this TV a 5 star rating. I don't think everyone has experienced the crease issue - but there are enough people expressing concern over it that it's worth mentioning.
On my set there are very thin lines that are slightly darker than the rest of screen, which run parallel to the left, right and top of my set - about a half-inch in from the bezel. You don't notice them when viewing darker content on the screen, but when the screen is lighter (for instance a light blue sky is being shown) you can make out these lines fairly easily. Additionally if I display a flat color across the screen - for instance a light blue/green JPEG - the lines become clear.
After contacting Sony they confirmed that this is not a normal function, however, with so many people reporting the same issue via various message boards and forums I'm surprised there hasn't been an official announcement. Either way a tech is coming out to take a look at the screen, and if it can be fixed/replaced I'll update my review.
Until then I'd be interested to see if CNET has any insight regarding this issue.
