  • "A Winning Combination of Technology and Quality"
    on by mvplanet

Pros Incredible inky deep colors with great clarity
Excellent black levels - think Pioneer Elite level
    Amazing 3D Performance
    Very high quality construction-gorilla glass
Quality of plasma and brightbess of LED
    Great looking piece

Cons Price but worth every penny

Summary I have owned several high def TVs including a Pioneer Elite and several Samsungs. This TV outperforms them all. While Samsung tend to lead with innovation I have found their sets lacking the quality of construction compared to this Sony. Both the fit and finish and performance ot this TV are superior. Also my Samsung starting having power issues (would turn off on its own) after only 18 months.

I always liked Pioneer Elite (plasma) but it tended to wash out in my rather bright den. This set has both high quality, leading technology and performance.

The inky colors of this TV remind me of my Pioneer Elite combined with the brightness of my last LED Samsung. It is the best TV I have owned.

  • "Excellent LED Great black levels"

Pros Gorilla Glass, thin profile looks nice on wall when turned off. Excellent PQ. Inky blacks

Cons Price- should be a $2700 set

Summary Excellent PQ. This may be the last full array local dimming set manufactured. Hoping this set lasts @least 10 yrs. by then 4 K should be reasonable priced. Excellent motion handling for fast paced sports. No blooming, flashlighting or DSE on my set. Very happy with this purchase. Has a bright picture even in a room with a lot of windows.
