"Pretty darned good for the money!"
Pros: Good price, Good resolution, best black I've seen on an LCD
Cons: side speakers, not enough volume control
Summary: I don't honestly understand or know what everyone else is complaining about. I think that they absolutely have a defective TV. I did a lot of shopping and comparison and this TV is the only LCD that I could find equal in color sharpness and clarity to the Samsung and Sharp LCD's and at half the price.
As far as the 16:9 aspect issues that were mentioned in other reviews, the native dimensions is 16:9 and when the TV encounters a 4:3 ratio signal, it merely makes it fit to full screen instead of auto-detecting and cutting the sides off to make it the corect aspect ratio, as more expensive TV's do (like my Mitsubishi 52525 DLP that I have in my livingroom).
My guess is they were victim to bad TV's and they're not terribly educated in the different modes and how it all works. I feel bad for them.

Yes I was a victim to a defective model that broke after only turning on a few times. This means I am not terribly eductated in the different modes and how it all works. Thanks for your valuable input mr educated
