CNET Editors' Take

CNET did not review the Toshiba Regza 32RV530U, but we did review a larger model in the series.

Review:

Although CNET did not review the 32-inch Toshiba Regza 32RV530U, we did review the 42-inch Toshiba Regza 42RV530U. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Toshiba flat-panel LCDs are basically identical but for screen size, so we expect the review of the 42-incher to give a good indication of how the 32-inch model will perform. For more information, refer to the full review of the Toshiba Regza 42RV530U.

"Toshiba's Regza is a JUNK TV" By eric-101

Pros: Looked great at first

Cons: The screen got blacker and blacker until the backlight failed just after a year.

Summary: The reliability is so bad on this TV that I cannot recommend to anyone unless they have $800.00 they are willing to throw away. Toshiba's customer service was polite but wouldn't stand behind their product.

"Got yesterday, use with antenna, 40 air miles from NYC!" By KLPV

Pros: Easy to hook up. Picture OK with rotating antenna. Lots of items on menu to choose from. Can add stations not selected by automatic selector & delete others. Still figuring out how to & which feature is best for use with antenna. Satisfied custome

Cons: Second TV w/ converter box gets several more stations. Most Analog stations I can get on other set come in poorly or not at all. Some Digital channels w/3 stations, only 1 comes in. Remote return, goes to digital station rather than last one viewed!

Summary: Once antenna was rotated, the fuzzy picture came in beautifully.
However, the number of stations received is less than those available from our older analog TV (pre & post digital converter box). And manual (written in understandable English) states, for a better picture, sound, more stations, etc., you'll need ... Expand full review
