Summary The cost to fix the television is about equal to the cost to replace, Toshiba takes no responsibility in the problem although if you search the Internet you can find many others with the same problem.
Toshiba referred me (at my own expense) to the same repair place that told me the cost was not worth fixing it.
Haven't even owned this piece of junk for 2 years and now I must buy a new one.
Because of Toshiba's lack of taking responsibility for a known LCD problem and allowing the consumer to foot the bill of repair or replacement I will never buy another Toshiba product in my lifetime, including blue ray or computer products.
Remember for the true cost of this product multiply to sticker price by 2 and make sure you buy extended warranty.
Pros Works great for as long as the warranty lasts
Cons After the warranty expires, so will the TV. It develops a problem with 40% of the right side of the screen with image blur resulting in colorful vertical lines. After research, I've learned this is a common problem that Toshiba will not fix.
Summary Avoid Toshiba HDTVs at all costs. Buy from a company that will stand by its products.

Pros The picture was great for 18 monrhs.
Cons The fact that I paid a thousand dollars for this tv and it only worked for 18 months. It is a big problem with Toshiba lcd televisions, all you need to do is research the internet and everyone owning the Regza has the same problem...
