"A great Deal" on by capita

Pros: Price, Quality, Sound, Hi-Def, Nice remote

    Cons: Not enough Av inputs

Summary: I purchased this T.V. at Staples for $1026 cdn total. This was the best deal for a hdtv I could find at a budget like mine. I'm very impressed with this system. The quality and sound is amazing. I love the widescreen, HDMI input, Hi-def quality and the remote is pretty neat.
The only negative point is that I have to unplug my xbox to use my dvd. Multiple inputs would be great. But then again, at alittle over $1000 I belive I got an excellent deal.
I believe CNET was hash at a 6.3 review. They must have been comparing more expensive units to this very cheaply priced unit.

    Updated
Well I'd like to change my review to a 3 because after 33 days the thing gave out. The sound always squeeled when being turned on. Also the picture died a few times and green lines kept showing up. I'm glad I got my money back. Please look at other brands if you don't want trouble.

    "Not impressed" on by crazedhawk

    Pros: HDTV cheap

Cons: Picture quality, remote, 1 HDMI input

Summary: Purchased this tv for just under $600. I have a 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV and was putting this one in my basement. I was looking for something cheap with a built-in tuner. It seemed this tv fit the bill.

When I turned it on there were a few pixels that were out or something.

I wasn't really impressed by the picture otherwise, but thought my standard might be too high because of the plasma I already own. I took the tv back, there were no more in stock, so I got a refund.

I purchased a Vizio for just under $700 with the same basic features but with 2 HDMI inputs. The picture quality difference between the two tvs is very noticeable and I am very happy this tv had something wrong with it so I could get a better quality tv for a little more money.

    "Best Deal" on by cdelgato19

Pros: Great Price and Picture Quality

    Cons: Poor Sound Quality

Summary: If you have a surround sound system then this tv is for you. If you want to depend on the sound coming from the tv then I don't think you will be too impressed. The picture quality is just as good as the much more expensive brands but the sound quality lacks. I also don't like the fact that the menu button has to be pressed each time the volume is changed but at less than 500 bucks at Tiger Direct for a 32" LCD at this quality that I can double up as a monitor for my computer you can't beat it!

"Solid Performer for the Money" on by smnc

Pros: Well featured, Good Controls, Good Price

Cons: Some Picture Quality Issues, Lack of Inputs

Summary: I bought the ViewSonic N3252W, which is a Costco rebadge of the N3251W, for $739CDN.

Firstlyt, I was mildly disapointed by the lack of inputs on this unit. Those with mulitple sources to hook up will need to plan their connections carefully.

There is also some issues with the picture quality, especially with low quality sources.
Odd texturing effects (especially on skintones) and washed-out shadows are the most pronounced defects.
That said, good colour balance, fair contrast, and excellent brightness make up for the deficiencies. Also, the picture quality improves markedly when using an HD source.

It also has a great selection of controls on the oddly laid-out menu, and an excellent PIP mode.

Lastly, it makes a superlative HTPC monitor. You can use the VGA connection, but to really take advantage of the Screen, go with a DVI to HDMI connection.

All in all, a good choice for the budget minded.
