"We love it!"
Pros: PRICE! $1469 at Sams Club.
Cons: Food Network on big screen makes me hungry
Summary: We bought it to replace the heavy old Sony Trinitron 27in, (which broke down 1 day after the warranty expired, and now works only as a A/V monitor).
Watching regular TV programs on wide-screen is a little weird. It's like everyone just gained weight and become more chubby and round.
Picture is awesome (unless you are 1 foot away, then you can see how grainy regular TV programs look), enough inputs for all your Video sources - DVD, VCR, Cable, Antenna, XBOX, PC.
By the way, I now have excellent way of watching downloaded movies on big screen! When you're feeling lazy to go to the Blockbuster, log on to Movielink or Cinemanow, and you got HiDef movie at your fingertips in 5 minutes.
I do not have HD cable, but regular Dish Network channels look pretty good when I'm laying it bed, 10 feet away from the screen.
And with Sams Club exchange policy I don't need to worry about it braking either.
Of course, on the technical side, I chose it over Plazma because I do not want the ESPN logo burned in after a month. I chose it over DLP because I don't feel like replaicing $300 light bulb every 3 to 4 years (and LCD is way thinner too).
