"Great 32" LCD 1080p for the price" on by vtruss8

Pros: Price: Picked this up at WM for $448 last week.
Resolution: It's hard to find a cheap 32" 1080p. I went from a 720p to this, and I can mostly tell a huge difference on my XBOX 360.
Connections: 3 hdmi ports, 1 pc (vga), 2 component HD ports

Cons: Lower refresh rate can causes blur, or "ghosting", but it really isn't bad unless your playing a fast paced game. Hardly any blur on HD channels on FiOS TV. Also, when switching from component to hdmi (TV), it takes a few seconds to "retrieve data".

Summary: I really like this HD TV. At first I was a bit skeptical about buying a Vizio, but given my budget and needs, this one fit perfectly. My previous HD LCD TV was a 32" Westinghouse 720p that died after 3 years. After seeing the 360 on a 1080p, I knew that would be a factor. Some say you can barely tell the difference between 720p and 1080p at 32", but I sure can. It's just noticeably sharper on the HD channels, and much crisper with the 360.

The size is perfect for a "normal" size bedroom. If you jump to a 37" or 42", be ready to shell out a couple hundred more. Those sizes would be more suitable for a mid-sized family room. A good 32" 1080p for less than $450 is hard to come by.

Setup was insanely easy. Unboxed it, checked for blemishes, then connected the FiOS HD box with an hdmi cable. I was flipping through channels within about 10 minutes of getting it home. Hooked up my 360 via HD component cables, set the 360 to 1080p res, and was astounded at the picture quality. Additional hookups include 3 total hdmi inputs, 2 hd component inputs, 1 pc vga input, 2 standard def inputs, and 1 S video input. More than enough.

All in all, I would recommend the Vizio VL320M 32" LCD HD TV w/ 1080p to anyone looking to upgrade an aging 32" LCD HD TV with a decent, mid range offering from Vizio. Especially if you game, the 360 and PS3 look amazing on it. And having to put money out for games every month, this TV fit the budget perfectly. It's no Sony or LG, but for a bedroom piece for the price, you couldn't ask for much more.

"Best 1080p 60hz LCD you can get for the $$$!" on by jwiley20

Pros: The dynamic contrast ratio is fantastic, but you can turn it off in settings, if you like. It's nice and bright and does well in brightly lit rooms.

Cons: The logo is placed center, just below the picture, is subtly back-lit at all times and can not be turned off. Yes it's brown, but its a very dark brown. No head-phone out. No coax digital audio out, only optical.

Summary: Pretty much all the specs ring true, although Vizio has never released what this TV's native contrast ratio is. I paid $400 out the door for this. You can not buy a better TV for the price! The remote is a little spartan, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The picture controls are ample, but not extensive. If you want a better contrast ratio than this (on a LCD) your going to have to get a LED back-lit screen. If judder (google it if you don't know what that means) is an issue for you, you don't want a 60hz LCD. All my cons are minor when compared to the excellent picture quality.

I can't say anything as to the sound quality of the speakers as I use a separate setup and audio was not a factor in my decision, beyond the fact that the set had to have a digital audio output.

If your on a budget the VL series is for you, but if you have more money to work with I encourage you to stick with the Vizio brand and purchase a model from a higher series. It's an all American company that has proven itself in a relatively short while. Their customer service and support are superior. They've also developed patented technologies that are currently being licensed to companies like Sony.

"Terrific Picture, Terrific Bargain" on by dcs42441

Pros: I've found the picture to be the best of any I've viewed in this price range. Very smooth and clear. Sound works well for me.

Cons: I would have liked a lighted remote. My TV came in a box marked as JAVA color but it is black.

Summary: Great TV and I'm very satisfied. I have owned five LCD TV's over the past few years including a new 55" LED Vizio and the picture on this set is surprisingly good for the money. One viewer knocked the lack of audio output but I plugged in a cheap dual male RCA to single female 3mm adapter cable into the audio output and I can plug stereo headphones in for great sound. I like being able to have the headphones and standard audio active at the same time but adjustable independently so my wife can listen with the headphones at a higher volume. If I just want to listen through the headphones, I simply turn the TV speaker volume clear down and this is more flexible than a standard headphone jack that automatically kills the TV speakers when 'phones are plugged in.

"Great Picture, Easy Setup, lots of connections" on by zanedrake798

Pros: I play games, So I need lots of connections HDMI, Component, My wife didnt think that she would be able to see a differents. I hooked it up in less than ten minutes. Watchin cable, for the last week I'v heard What a great picture it has. Friends too.

Cons: Its only 37in. I want a bigger screen but couldnt afford a bigger screen. I guess I cant blame the TV for that.

Summary: I play video games so conponnent hook ups and HDMI, Was very important. The Picture is GREAT, I played a XBOX game and I could see every detail. Hooked up to a cable box, I could again see every detail right down to a person sweating on TV. Sounds Good, I think it would sound better hooked up to a Home Theater system, But thats not on the TV. But without the Home Theater it still sounds really good. My three favorite things about this TV is: 1: the Vizio is the only TV on the market that has what is called a NO BURN IN. Means if you pause a game and run off and forget about it for a few hours. It wount burn a image in the Screen. 2: I think this is cool but not a biggy The VIZIO Emblem on front is The little light that lets you know when the tv is on White Vizio Emblem means its on. Orange means its off. 3: is you can name your inputs Like HDMI 1 You can name to say XBOX, HDMI 2 You can name to say Cable Box, Conponent 1 You Can Name to say DVD player. So you dont have to guess or remember what is hooked up where. Now my only complaint isn't the TV, Its Cable some channels are still broadcasting in 480p. Means the HD part is useless. But when your watching channels in HD the picture on the TV is Great. Dont get me wrong even the 480p on this tv is a really good picture.
