"Great Plasma"
Pros: Price, foot print, picture quality and looks
Cons: It weights 165 pounds net
Summary: I love Pioneer but just can not afford one, Panasonic?s 58 inch was the only thing I really considered and found one at the same price on line as the VIZIO but noted it was being discontinued and would not accept 1080p.
The final decision came down to fact that I could go to my local SAMS, pick up the unit (with the help of two others), take it home, set it up, test it and if I did not like the picture take it right back.
The height was a big factor as I am moving my VIZO 42?? plasma to the bedroom and only have 41?? height space. The color of the frame matched our dark brown leather/cherry wood floors. I am tried of the silver and black. I wanted to see and test the 60 inch one before I mounted it on the wall or returned it, again nice to buy from local ventors.
The new unit is connected to my Dish DVR with a DVI/HDMI and my Sony DVD player with component-video.
I ended up with Movie (dark room), the temp is warm and turning on the Fleshtone to its min setting. I try a local basket ball game, a few action DVD?s and the HD Discovery Channel.
I was just amazed, now we do live in Florida and thus the Fleshtone may seem more normal than where David katzmaier may live, but the picture was just great. The colors were true, the detail out of this world with good black and skin tones. Price not with standing, my wife and I were very pleased. I got a 200 pound wall mount and we are planning a wall mounting party next.
