"Stellar performance at easy to swallow cost" on by breakdancefight

Pros: Color were vibrant, yet natural with some minor tweaks. Black levels were quite impressive, easily able to differentiate between the different shades of black. Had a large breadth of input options.

Cons: Slight image retention before a short warm up period, usually 20 minutes or so. The HDCP handshake between the TV and the PS3 can take several seconds, but not a deal breaker.

Summary: I know that their are better known brands out there for a little more money, but in these tough times a little more may not be there for everyone. Vizio has really stepped up with their new line of LCD's. Making them match the quality of some of the bigger brand manufactures without the big price tag. Please don't be scared of the name or lack of familiarity with it, just give this little brand a chance. I use this primarily for gaming on the 360 and PS3, there is no input lag that I have noticed zero ghosting or excessive motion blur. I picked it up at sams for 388.00 plus tax, so feature, quality versus price you can't do much better than this.

"You Get What You Pay For" on by Barbara866

Pros: Decent Picture and Good Sound

Cons: Horrible remote and hard to navigate menus

Summary: The remote uses hard plastic paddles for the up and down channel and volume, I can see the lettering wearing off in less than a year. Also hard on the fingers.
There are buttons for "input" and a row at the top "TV, AV,COMP, and HDMI" - why the duplication of functions? Thick end of the remote hard to grab.

Marginal over-the-air reception on channels 7 to 13. Needs another HDMI input, only 2.

Phone support: First didn't speak english well; the second sounded asleep. Niether solved my problem.

    Updated on May 7, 2010

Still have problems with the high-VHF (7-13) channels. I would not recommend this set for fringe area over the air reception.

Got a BD player and a HDMI cable and the picture is excellent. Netflix looks good on this set, too.

The price has gone up about thirty dollars at the store I bought the set at. Dollar for dollar, other sets may be a better bargain now.

"Great for the price" on by Logic737

Pros: Excellent color and picture. I bought it to use with my Xbox 360 and it does a great job.

Cons: No picture in picture. Really really long lag when changing between TV to HDMI and it takes at least 10 seconds to recognize XBox signal

Summary: It doesnt have all the features my 38" Vizio VX37L has but it looks great and the price is excellent

"OK FOR FIRST 12 MONTHS .. BEWARE AFTER THAT ..... !!!" on by luvitinpbg

Pros: NICE HD TV FOR FIRST 12 to 18 MONTHS AFTER IT COMES INTO YOUR HOME .... LOOKOUT AFTER THAT .....!!

Cons: EXPENSIVE REPAIRS ...BETWEEN 12 & 24 MONTHS OF USE ..... SPEND THE "BIG $$$ BUCKS FOR EXTENDED WARRANTY TO AVOID ADDED EXPENSE

Summary: Purchased my Vizio model VU32L Sears May 08 ...... Needless to say; " I didn't want to spend another $ 250.00 plus on extended Warranty ....... at the time I spent almost $700.00 to get the Vizio HD out the door and expected about 3 to 4 years Service out of it.... Now 32 in Model retail about $ 400.00 ..... Guess what (you already know) this VIZIO HD TV gets sick ( a vertical red/green) Line in Middle of Screen ....... Vizio has one year Factory Warranty ...... Called No help from them ...... !! Too bad so sad ....!! Repairs by local Service company estimated at almost $ 400.00 ........ The reason I write this review is because this is not isolated event ....... My son owns one of the Vizio Monster 52s ..... he shelled ot $ 650.00 Bucks getting it fixed same problem ...... about 4 months ago after having it 14 months ........ !! Seems there are some problems with their Screens ...!! SO IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY VIZIO ..... BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ....!! Which are real profit $$$ Centers for those retailers .......... or expect the the TOO BAD SO SAD FEELING.......!!

"Excellent value for money" on by kwame49

Pros: Very impressive graphics and ease of set-up and use. Lots of great bang for the buck on this TV. Vizio has obviously found the right balance between features and price.

    Cons: None to speak of.

Summary: I would gladly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a reasonable price and superb performance.
