"Excellent tv for the money."
Pros: Smooth, natural picture; accurate reproduction of colors; not overly bright and cartoonish like lcd; virtually unlimited viewing angle; perfect for bedroom use.
Cons: Considering the low cost, no real complaints; mediocre sound quality, but this is easily remedied by external speakers.
Summary: Cnet's review of this tv seems more than a little unfair, unless you guys have much more discriminating eyesight than I do. Your use of the word "crappy" is a little over the top, to say the least. One begins to suspect an economic or political motive, rather than an esthetic one. For my taste, this tv is more than adequate for its intended purpose, i.e., as a secondary unit for the average consumer with ordinary viewing habits, which comprises most of the tv-buying public. Count me among that group. I am more than satisfied.

You're right, David Katzmier just doesn't seem to understand that it's a TV. I feel like buying one and putting it my room.

I agree, I feel that some of the reviewer's comments were possibly motivated by who was advertising on the website at that time. Cnet has also told us that all HDMI cables are the same. obviously they don't know about quality if it jumped up and bit them.
