"Low Reliability"
Pros: When it works Great
Cons: It will die on you before 1 year warranty
Summary: I had the VU42LF for 7-months and while it worked, it was great no complaints. The thing is the TV does not have a long shelve life, mine died in 7-months. It could have been that I just received a bad unit, but it could also be a common problem. I did some research before calling VIZIO for warranty and many had issues where the power board died out prematurely, also when the repair site calls one back for service they already have the part ordered before even looking at the TV. Which is a major red flag that the TV has a high failure rate. Anyhow I call for warranty service and when I got a call back, they already had my part ordered and never looked at the TV, so beware when you by VIZIO, they will not last and the price for a SONY or Samsung are not much. I bought a Bravia and is a much better set and did not cost that much more than what I paid for the VIZIO. I was able to get a full refund for my VIZIO, from the reatailer.
