Quick Take: CNET did not review this member of the Vizio XVT3 series, but we did review the larger 55-inch screen size, model XVT553SV. The model we reviewed employs a different backlight technology--full-array LED with local dimming--compared with the edge-lit with local dimming technology used by this model (more info). For that reason, the comments regarding the picture quality of the 55-incher do not apply to this TV.

Other major differences between the two include refresh rate (this is a 120Hz model vs. the 240Hz 55-incher), panel depth (this is a 2-inch-deep panel compared with the 3-inch-deep panel used on the larger models), and number of inputs. Otherwise most of the features, including Viaio Internet Apps, the remote, and built-in Wi-Fi, are identical.
