"Excellent TV"on by ENYPDE
Pros Very good picture, thin, apps are aweseome, light weight
Cons None at all
Summary Bought this tv after looking for months for a good deal. Very happy with Vizio. I upgraded from an 26" to this 37" and the screen size is good not too small or to big just right.
"Excellent HDTV"on by Logansneo
Pros Generally makes everything you input look amazing, save for the poorest signal (coax). VIA internet apps work amazingly well and Netflix especially runs seamlessly even in WiFi @ HD resolutions! Video controls and features are fairly well laid out and inc
Cons Though the picture is spectacular, off-axis viewing is tighter than I would like and results in lightening of the image. 120Hz modes work as advertised but I have yet to truly appreciate the effect, some smearing with it on. Local dimming works but become
Summary I bought this unit from Amazon.com and mounted it on my bedroom wall. The room is large, placing my viewing area roughly 15 feet away from the set, with a couch placed about 7 feet from the TV at the end of my bed. From either position the image remains spectacular whether viewing Blu-Ray, HD-DVD, DVD, Coaxial Satellite, or Nintendo Wii. Of these the Satellite looks the least attractive due to the fact that we split the signal off of one receiver box and the SD signal is run via coaxial cable.
The most amazing and frequently used feature is by far Netflix, due to its seamless operation and interface. By comparison running Netflix through my PC or my Xbox 360 is far more likely to hiccup or step-down the resolution, causing a total stoppage in playback, while the Vizio is capable of seamlessly switching from SD to HD and vise-versa letting you continue viewing, while at the same time because of it's ability to look so good with SD content it is far less annoying than having this occur on my 60" Sony in the living room through Netflix on the Xbox.
Even with it's quirks, I have been extremely pleased with this product and will likely replace my Sony in the living room someday with the forthcoming 21:9 Vizio TV! Highly Recommended!
Pros Great picture quality and easy to navigate
Cons The remote sucks big ones. It's small and clumsy, is not illuminated for use in a dark room and the buttons are too small.
Summary If Vizio did anything, I'd recommend improving this goofy remote
Pros Did have a great clear picture
Cons did not last a 13 months and the warranty has ran out. The panel is out would cost more to replace it , had multiple problems with cutting on and off
Summary Don't waist your money if you want a long lasting tv
I was told since it was one month out of warranty I could purchase another comparable tv from their warehouse just for these situations for $300. WHY would I do that? I was asked constantly if I had purchased the extended warranty (which I had not)I would not have to do that if it was a quality product.
I waited for almost a year with multiple calls to get the cutting on and off fixed and the solution was that there was a firmware update needed but it was not ready. This is a poor product with even worse customer service
Pros Awesome picture and sound; wifi, apps, inputs, menus, setup; light weight and thin
Cons Remote: Thought the keyboard slide out would be more useful, but it's not (then again, I'm not big on Facebook). Balked at other reviews panning the lack of back light on the remote, but they were right - can't operate easily in a dark room.
Summary Was wary about Vizio because I had another model that was just plain awful, but reviews and price at the time for this one were great so I jumped at it and was completely amazed. This model is nothing less than spectacular. Images, color and sound are extremely clear and realistic...as if in the room with you (a little freaky at first). This is now the new standard by which I judge all other TVs in my price range...was so impressed I came back to recommend and then maybe purchase another, BUT as of Feb 2012, the price ($960!?) is literally double what I paid just a couple months ago (checked the model number several times and made sure I got a new one because I couldn't believe it). Really want another one, but I'll wait for a better deal or look to another brand (it's impressive but not at twice the price). I put this one on alert for $600
