"Outstanding video quality for the buck"
Pros: More than enough inputs. Great adaption to inputs.
Cons: Bright corners.
Summary: The blue-green-red can be changed, contrary to CNET's review. The display factory settings do make everything look a little flat. A simple color bar adjustment will more than make up for that. The black performance is not great, but after the color bar adjust, I found no quams with that.
I don't like that random reminder in the upper right corner of what input is being used. However, the TV does automatically detect and switch to a new input. So when I turn on my Wii, Xbox 360, or DVD player, I don't need to tell the TV that that is what I want to look at.
With a DVD player and the XBOX 360 both being able to adjust to exactly match the resolution, combined with the TV's exceptional ability to deal with unmatched inputs, I am greatly pleased to find a half-breed HDTV with such excellent picture quality and good response to various inputs.
The pro's definitely outweigh the con's and it's well worth having until the true HDTV's price drops a bit.
