CNET Editors' Take

CNET previews the Westinghouse LVM-42w2, a 42-inch 1080p flat-panel LCD HDTV.

Review: Quick Take: The Westinghouse LVM-42w2 is a 42-inch 1080p flat-panel LCD HDTV. It has a native resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels, a.k.a. 1080p, which means it should be able to display every detail of 1080i and 1080p HDTV sources. In terms of features, the LVM-42w2 has a solid jack pack, highlighted by one HDMI input, two DVI inputs, one VGA-style PC input, and two component inputs. It lacks both an integrated HDTV tuner and a CableCard slot, so you'll need an external box to receive over-the-air HDTV or digital cable. Hide Review

"Picture perfect right out of the box!" By Klonoaphile

Pros Stunning picture, lightweight, easy to use

Cons If there are any I have yet to find them.

Summary As a novice of HD technology, I found this monitor to be the best for the money. After doing over a year of research before I decided to fork over any large sum of cash for a new television/monitor, the Westinghouse LVM-42w2 was exactly what I was looking for. ... Expand full review
