"Do NOT buy this product" on by stevecasey
Pros: You can return it when you find out it really stinks
Cons: Everything about it is a negative
Summary: First, I am in the radio business. I use my ipod to escape the biz I know all to well. I was very very disappointed in this product. (1) Unless you live in a market with a few radio signals you'll have trouble finding a dial position available to set your device to (2) Cell tower RF interfers with this device (3) Static signal makes it sound like AM radio (4) weak signal so sound quality is muffled is not CD quality sound. I bought two units thinking the 1st was defective. One from Apple store. One from BestBuy. Nope. Same problems for both. Returned both. Reps in both stores asked why the return. Told them the above. Both said they get a lot of returns for these devices. Can't recommend until they boost their FM signal to get a clear signal from ipod to FM radio. In fact, do NOT buy this. Just a waste of your time and money. Thanks

Pros: Small and compact LCD display of frequencies
Cons: Low Transmitter Power
Summary: I purchesed this device to be used in my car to listen to my Ipod in my car.
The problem wit this unit is that the tranmitter is to week to work well.
I placed it all over the car trying to get a clean signal I placed it outside the car next to the anntenna and still poor perfomance. -
"Pathetic Performance" on by sallenmd
Pros: Easy to tune, full range of frequencies
Cons: needs to be positioned perfectly and inches from antenna
Summary: I generally liked this unit's predecessor, but found its playlist-based tuning to be a pain. So I bought this one. I am sorely disappointed. This unit is pathetic. There is so much interference and its signal is far too weak. It does improve markedly when the iPod is powered by the cigarette lighter. But I bought this unit to function on its own, without requiring external power. It is useless in that regard. Better to buy Monster's combination charger/transmitter that can also be used with a Nano. It actually works, providing vastly better sound than this does. It sounds better than the iTrip even when the iTrip is used in conjunction with external power. The Monster's only drawback is its limited frequency range. This iTrip is a complete waste of money. I can only hope that my retailer will refund my money.

"Waste of money" on by Pamie040
Pros: Great for indoor use-if that's what you want
Cons: Does not work in the car on any station
Summary: I bought this little item because it looked really cool and I thought that it would transmit just like my portable satellite radio. Boy was I ever wrong, it doesn't work in my car at all unless I move it right next to my FM antenna. Then I have to hold it there. Now that's really convenient. I don't use it in my car anymore. If I want to use my Ipod with my Bose Acoustic system it works great because it sits RIGHT ON the unit. Save yourself some money, steer away from this one.......
