"If you liked versions 1 & 2, then you'll love this one."

Pros: Stunnig graphics and smooth gameplay. The detail is incredible. You can create a player and customize everything, down to the type of socks you wear!

Cons: Playing the computer can become repetitive. The "trick stick" sometimes takes away from the gameplay. Should have added WNBA players.

Summary: When I saw previews for this game with Mario doing a 360 slam dunk I had to have it. I played version 2 a couple of times and liked it, but V3 adds on to the fun. I read reviews for this game and people gave lower ratings because Jordan wasn't on it, but YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN PLAYER, so I don't see the big deal. Just create a player who looks like Jordan and name him "Jordan." It also would have been a nice touch to add some WNBA legends, like Lisa Leslie (the only one I can think of right now)since there are female players in the Street Challenge mode.
One of the reasons I wanted this game was because of the Dunk contest. However, it not as fun as it looks because you spend more time looking at the controller than watching what moves your player is doing. It takes a while to learn the trick-stick moves (there are A LOT of them) so you can do the specific move you want to do instead of random ones.
My favorite part of the game is the Street Challenge. You start off as a scrub and try to gain REP points to become a street legend. You can customize your players attributes. I suggest starting off with high steals and dunks. No matter how good you shot rating is (99 is the max) the computer will block a jumpshot most of the time. Even if you're open, they can block you from behind, so it's better to go in for the dunk (whick also gives you more trick points). And for the steals, the other team can't score if they don't have the ball. If you beat a team with a legend or current NBA player, you can take a player from their team.
In some games the trick stick can become annoying because the computer will take 2 shots and have enough trick points for a gamebreaker. Now you have to keep doing useless tricks just to build trick points so you can stay in the game. But the game control is excellent, but some tricks may cause you to move further away from the basket than you want to go. Also, you can customize a pick-up game so there are no trick points to play a more realalistic game.
