Of all the games you can play in a casino, the venerable one-armed bandit has always been one of the most popular destinations, and the new breed of video slots are more addictive than ever. Modern, computerized slot machines still sport arms and coin trays, but they actually require much more participation than their purely mechanical ancestors, thanks to the advent of multiple paylines and bonus games. Downtown Video Slots does a great job of capturing all of the bells and whistles that make video slot machines fun.
Initially, Downtown Video Slots features five slot machines, each with its own distinct theme, such as Hollywood, a candy store, and the Wild West. The layout of each machine is very similar. If you want to risk more money on each spin, you can up the number of paylines you're using so that additional combinations of symbols come into play. If you also put more coins into the machine, you can be betting $50 or more on a single spin...but that's also a great way to make money, because you can score combinations all over the place. If you achieve a rare enough combination, you'll gain access to a bonus round, where you choose random symbols to pick up extra cash and multipliers--another tidy way to boost your bankroll. If you make over $150,000 using any or all of the machines, you'll unlock a bonus slot machine.
