Family Tree Maker 2008: Deluxe (PC)

I have been doing genealogy research for twenty-one years now and have been using Family Tree Maker since 1995. I was so impressed with it back then; it couldn't have been any simpler and it was easy to see it why it was #1 in genealogy software. I highly recommended it to everyone who was needing such a program. I must say, though, I was less than impressed with Version 16 and I am completely disappointed with the latest FTM 2008. It is not user friendly and is difficult to navigate. Broderbund really had a top-notch product. It's a shame you had to go a fix something that wasn't broke. After 13 years I am looking around for a new program to use and will not be recommending Family Tree Maker to anyone else....Sorry guys! You really missed the boat!

Installing should have given the optioin to bring over the data from my previous version. Had to figure it out myself, It probably should have over-written previous version. Although I'm on cable it can't find the internet connection, and no published means of contacting Cust. Svc. Had to google and dig thru the junk to find a web site that gave me Ph. Nr. Working screen is way too cluttered.
