"Never Leave Home Without It -- Almost Perfect"
Pros: 1) More convenient that larger appliances, 2) Integrates with Microsoft Pocket Outlook contacts, 3) 10 hour battery life, 4) fit entire US (w/o Hawaii) & Canada on 2GB SD, 5) great vocal directions
Cons: 1) Can't find periodic map updates, 2) Could hang after entering favorite addresses without attaching GPS (requires reboot),
Summary: Overall: Near perfect for anyone who travels -- and much easier to carry than large dashboard appliance. My work requires me to travel to a different place nearly every week -- I really can't imaging attempting to do so ever again without this device.
Pros:
1) Verbal directions are so good I don't need to watch the screen. It even gives ample warnings such as "keep left".
2) Siemens SX66 (PocketPC Phone Edition) speakers loud enough to overcome road noise and phone headphones can overcome open windows
3) So convenient to integrate contacts within Microsoft Pocket Outlook with GPS navigation!
3) I can go on several trips between battery recharges and I can use my phone's adapter to recharge it -- one less thing to carry.
4) Fantastic display with multiple angles (3D views) automatically darkens after sunset.
5) Bluetooth means no messy cords
6) Navigation even more accurate than the GPS built into my personal car.
Cons:
========
1) If bluetooth is off (to save batter life) when launching PocketPC Belkin Navigation System software, the subsequent startup may hang and require a reboot. Other than that, the code seems very solid.
2) My maps are getting out of date (I've had mine a while) so new construction and new addresses are missing. If there are updates for the US, I wasn't able to find them.
